9th Conference of the Scandinavian-Baltic Society for Parasitology

21 April – 23 April 2021

This biennial event is an official conference of the Scandinavian-Baltic Society for Parasitology (SBSP). The theme of this year’s meeting is ‘Parasites in a changing world’. The vision of this conference is to create a great platform for experienced and early-career researchers in the fields of wildlife, veterinary and medical parasitology and to share interdisciplinary science between researchers from Northern Europe and other countries around the world. The CSBSP9 Scientific Committee has created an excellent program with focus on both global and regional issues in parasitology. The meeting will provide high scientific value and excellent opportunity to share ideas and strengthen scientific communication and cooperation.

BioMalPar XVII: Biology and Pathology of the Malaria Parasite

25 May – 27 May 2021

The 17th BioMalPar conference follows the success of previous years, building on the foundations of the EU-funded Networks of Excellence EviMalaR and BioMalPar that, for one and a half decades, have brought together malaria researchers from around the world to present and share recent ground-breaking findings on fundamental malaria research in an integrated and highly collaborative environment. This year’s conference will address fundamental questions on the biology of the malaria parasite, its vector, the immune response of the host, the disease that it causes, and the latest technological approaches. In keeping with the traditions of BioMalPar and EviMalaR, the conference will emphasise training and networking, with a focus on allowing speaking opportunities for early career researchers.
